Globe Analytics ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile analytics app that lets you see your website visitors on a 3D globe in real time. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Account data: When you sign up we store your email address (or Apple ID token if you use Sign in with Apple), and a hashed password if applicable.

Website visitor data: When your website visitors load a page with our tracking snippet, we record:

• Page URL and referrer
• Approximate location derived from IP address (country and city level)
• Device type (mobile or desktop)
• Timestamp of the visit

We do not store raw IP addresses. Location is derived at the point of ingestion and the IP is discarded.

The tracking script sets no cookies and writes nothing to a visitor's device (no localStorage, no sessionStorage). Grouping a visitor's pages into a single visit is done on our server using a value derived from the request, which changes every day — enough to group same-day page views together, but not enough to recognize the same visitor again tomorrow. Because no identifier is placed on or read from the visitor's device, no cookie consent banner is required on your site for this tracking.

Subscription data: Subscription status is managed by RevenueCat. We do not store payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To display your website analytics inside the app
• To manage your account and subscription
• To send transactional emails (e.g. account-related notifications)

We do not sell your data or your visitors' data to any third party.

3. Third-Party Services

• Vercel – hosting and serverless functions (data processed in the US)
• Neon – PostgreSQL database hosting
• Mapbox – 3D globe map rendering (map tiles only, no visitor data shared)
• RevenueCat – subscription and in-app purchase management

Like any web host, our hosting provider may retain standard operational request logs, which can include IP addresses, for a limited period for security and reliability purposes. This is separate from our own analytics data, which does not store IP addresses.

4. Data Retention

Your account data and visitor session data are retained while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app, which permanently deletes all associated data.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. Children

Globe Analytics is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
